CHILDREN’S author David Lawrence Jones held pupils spellbound with his showcase based on the characters in his books when he visited Uffculme Primary School.

He delivered an animated and interactive presentation aimed at stimulating reluctant readers and writers. The children loved his enthusiasm which was shown in the number of books they bought during the book signing session.

He will be returning to the school later in the term as the Literacy Superhero, Bookman, to work with a group of children on writing comic strip adventures.
