WELLINGTON primary schools pupils have enjoyed a Civic Award Ceremony at St John’s Church in the town.
Pupils were handed certificates and prizes to celebrate their achievements over the past year.
A spokesperson for Wellington Town Council said: “The Civic Award is now in its fifth year and is supported by Wellington Town Council.
“It requires pupils from Year 6 to learn new skills and aims to show children the difference they can make to themselves, others and collectively the wider community.

Pupils from Beech Grove, St John’s and Rockwell Green primary schools attended the Civic Award ceremony.
Town Mayor Bob Bowrah handed out certificates and prizes.
