Throughout the year the club has given £1,750 to the local Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service Blood Bikes group, the president’s charity this year.
It has also given £100 to School in a Bag – www.schoolinabag.org – to purchase five bags for underprivileged children around the world.
Earlier in the year, a donation was made to the League of Friends of Wellington Hospital in lieu of the stall the club usually hosts at its summer fete, cancelled this year because of coronavirus.
President Rosemary Wharton and Doreen Hearle met with Christine Howe in her garden for tea and chat as coronavirus lockdown restrictions eased. They are pictured with baby blankets made by members.
