This photo, taken in about 1930, is of a carnival float entered by Hornshay Farm, Nynehead, farmed at the time by a Mr Richards, says Kevin Winter, of Lower Foxmoor Road, Rockwell Green, who sent it in. Kevin says a sign states the men, whose names are not known, are Nynehead firefighters but he believes this may not be correct. He also notes the dummy at the top of the ladder. The photo was owned by Kevin’s late father, Desmond Winter, who lived in Nynehead.
