YOUNG Thomas Searle has won Wellington Silver Band’s training band’s annual achievement award for 2019.

Victoria Osborne, who trains the band, congratulated him on his continued progress, improvement throughout the year and his willingness to ask about the music.

Edmee Greenshields was awarded the monthly recognition trophy for her application throughout the month.

The band, for youngsters and adults who want to learn to play an instrument and progress to the main band, trains on Thursdays between 6.30-7.30pm.
