FACES galore of the St John’s C of E Primary School, Wellington, family adorn a new banner on display at the school.

It was created following a Colour Challenge over seven days during lockdown in which children, staff and families came up with lots of ways to be colourful, wearing items including wigs, tinsel and household items.

Photos were taken which were made into a video montage for families to enjoy and have now been incorporated into the banner displayed on the fence outside the school.

The school would like to thank everyone involved, especially governor Steve Jenkins, of Life Central Church, who supported and funded the challenge by designing the banner.

A school spokesperson said: “Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Colour Challenge. So many children and their families, along with school staff, got involved – some even dressed up their dogs!

“It was a brilliant way of bringing us all together during a difficult time. We were thrilled by everyone’s efforts and now have a wonderful banner to cherish.

“This challenge has helped us to continue our school ethos of sharing joy and hope within our community.”
