Blaize and Bridget have been sworn in at The Dolphin pub in Waterloo Road, Wellington, in a unique folk custom to the town.
The Blaize, Phil Burchett, and Bridget, Helen Burchett, were sworn in by Wellington’s only Freeman Richard Fox on Saturday evening.
The celebration saw participants contribute poems and recitals. It started with morris dancing led by the Bradninch Millers Morris team and continued with a folk session throughout the evening.
The Wellington Folk & Custom Society event was a festive evening in preparation for the start of spring.
