THE numbers added up for the Friends of Court Fields School when they raised a fantastic £255 from their latest bingo evening.

Head of Sapphire House Ricky Selway was the evening’s bingo caller and entertained players with his ‘bingo lingo’. Full house prizes included chocolate and a £5 John Lewis voucher given by Waitrose in Crewkerne.

The Friends have been raising funds to help with a courtyard garden project and have also provided four raised House beds, which recently won the Wellington in Bloom bronze award. The students are involved with the design and maintenance of the

House beds and plans for the courtyard garden.

The Friends are also supporting the school’s rewards and awards system and are providing student badges.

They are now starting to build up a diary

of events, including the next bingo evening on March 18, a Christmas table centrepiece making evening on December 2, a

welcome barbecue for new Year 7 parents,

a barn dance and summer fete, to name a few.
