An ancient custom has been re-enacted at the Green Dragon Inn, Wellington when Eric Endicott was sworn in as 'Bishop Blaize' to protect and bless weavers, traditionally wool combers and the wool trade of the town.

Nina Stevens of Wellington was sworn in as 'St Bridget' to protect and bless the spinners, smith craft, poets and lambs. The mock ceremony on Friday was followed by a traditional music session.
Now, the organisers of the Wellington Folk and Custom Society hope to make it an annual event.
