THE contents of a Wellington bookshop in Fore Street which used to open every day of the year, including Christmas Day, are among thousands of books up for auction.

The two-day sale is being conducted by auctioneers Charterhouse of Sherborne tomorrow (Thursday, July 27) and Friday.

The bookshop was known to many bookworms over the years. Although the main selling area was on the ground floor, books were also stored on the two floors above.

Viewing for the Charterhouse two-day auction of books, pictures, antiques and interiors with a special selection of automobilia, is today (Wednesday, July 26) from 10am-6pm and tomorrow from 9am.
