Nynehead Court is holding two events to raise money for good causes this month.

On Saturday (September 21) the home is holding a breakfast for The Alzheimer’s Society, which will begin with a walk around the grounds followed by a choice of breakfast in the Orangery. No booking is necessary, simply arrive between 8am and 10.30am and order your choice of breakfast before your walk.

This is followed on Friday, September 27, by a Macmillan ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’, which takes place from 10.30am.

A floral basket demonstration will take place at 11am – the resulting basket will be auctioned – sale of craft items and, of course, lots of cake.

Home manager Angela Watkins said: “We are always keen to raise money for good causes and our breakfast on September 21 will also give visitors a chance to enjoy our grounds in their wonderful autumn splendour. September is a busy month for us as we also have our ‘Ode to Autumn’ Flower Festival in Nynehead Church between September 20-22, in addition to our usual programme of activities for residents.”
