CARNIVAL organisers will be hosting its annual meeting on Monday (December 15) where it hopes to attract more people to join.
The Wellington Carnival, which is reported to have taken place as early as 1887, has seen a few members leave its committee due to personal circumstances.
Without more volunteers, the Wellington Carnival may not be able to continue.
A spokesperson for Wellington Carnival, said: “We are urgently on the lookout for anyone who would like to get involved in planning and organising the carnival.
“Getting involved in carnival is a great way to meet new people and support local charities and organisations.”
The annual meeting will be held at Wellington Rugby Club at 7.30 pm.
