BUILDER K W Fancy, of Wellington, scooped a prestigious Master Builder Award in the Federation of Master Builders’ (FMB) South-West region.

K W Fancy won the large renovation award and will now go through to compete in the national finals for the chance to win the UK category title. The ceremony is at the Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel in London in September hosted by television presenter and building enthusiast Nick Knowles.

K W Fancy won the award for its work on a post-war house with a 1970s annex at Pilton, near Glastonbury. The company carried out extensive works on both buildings and integrated the two to form a single country home. The extension created a large, light and airy living and dining area, which boasts impressive views of the surrounding countryside thanks to the huge windows.
