IT is still ‘unclear’ why bus company WebberBus ran into financial difficulties and was forced to close.
Business recovery specialist Begbies Traynor is assisting the directors on options available after the company ceased trading about a fortnight ago.
Begbies Traynor says most of the 120 staff were made redundant when WebberBus’ operations at Rockwell Green, Bridgwater and Minehead were halted.
A spokesman said: “The reasons for the company’s failure are unclear at this stage. It is anticipated that most employees will secure employment with competitor companies as there is a shortage of qualified drivers.”
