The business association is the biggest single forum in Wellington where the views of all businesses are represented and retailers are invited to attend the meeting to give their views.
Town councillors have looked into forming a taskforce to investigate why the town has so many empty retail premises and are visiting to talk to the association about how they want the council to work with the business community and other local agencies to try and fill those empty sites.
The meeting is open to members and non-members. A short general meeting of the WBA will take place after the meeting – the posts available are president, vice-chairman, secretary and treasurer.
