Sausage aficionado Chris Potter, of Tim Potter family butchers in Fore Street, Wellington, has bagged four Gold Taste of The West Awards for his burgers and sausages.
The annual awards scheme is the UK’s largest regional food and drink awards programme.
Chris said: “I am over the moon to have been awarded four gold awards on my first entry of this particular competition.
“This is great recognition for the hard work we put into creating our delicious range of sausages and burgers, all made fresh daily by me and the team in the shop from locally sourced, top quality pork and beef.

“I am now looking forward to being shortlisted in the individual product categories and look forward to news on the final awards ceremony.”
Chris achieved the top award for his Traditional Somerset Beef Burger, Country Pork Sausage, Fruity Curry Sausage and Wellington Somerset Pork Sausage.
He has been making sausages and burgers for the last 19 years, securing a haul of regional and national trophies and awards over the years.
