THE first of six Somerset ‘Best Start Family Hubs’ could be hosted in Wellington on the back of the town’s Kings Arms community hub success.

Town council chief executive Dave Farrow said Somerset Council had made an approach because of the Kings Arms programme and Wellington’s ‘Cradle to Career’ initiative.
The family hubs will have an initial focus on improving outcomes in early years and supporting parenting.
Mr Farrow said: “There is funding available through Government for this project over a three-year period.”
He said the town council had also been offered two more years of funding to employ its community connect champion, who will work closely with the family hub.
