THIS year marks the tenth anniversary of the Celebration of Light – the magical candlelit garden at the Friends Meeting House in Wellington set up every December.

Organisers are appealing for help running this year’s event.

Anyone who has any greenery that can be used for decorating the alleyway leading to the garden is asked to leave it at the back of the Friends Meeting House by Wednesday, November 29. Large pieces of conifer or bay, as well as smaller more decorative pieces, are needed.

Anyone interested in helping with stewarding during the days when the Celebration of Light takes place (Saturday, December 2, 4-7pm, Wednesdays December 6, 13 and 20, 4-6.30pm) is asked to get in touch with Matt Wall ([email protected]).
