FIRE crews freed a casualty from a car following a two-vehicle crash in Wiveliscombe on Monday.

A fire engine from Wiveliscombe, one from Wellington and the rescue tender from Taunton were sent to the collision on the B3227 South Molton Road at 10.56am.

They freed the casualty using hydraulic rescue equipment and administered first aid until the ambulance service arrived. They also stabilised the vehicles.
