WELLINGTON nursing home boss Andy KIrby has sprung to the defence of care provision provided locally and nationally amid the scare stories in the national press and on television.

Mr Kirby, general manager of Oaktree Court Nursing Home, says most homes are run excellently - and particularly in Somerset.
