WELLINGTON Carnival Queen Pauline Hayes and princesses Jess Duheaume and Lucie Tooze have handed over the Best Float Cup – as voted by the public – from Wellington Carnival to Harlequin Carnival Club at the South Somerset Federation Ball held at Somerset Cricket Club on Saturday evening. 

New for this year, Wellington Carnival opened up the voting to everyone who downloaded Carniapp – this resulted in 905 votes being received for classes Spirit of Carnival, Best Float and Best Walking Entry. Many fewer votes were received in previous years.
