About 50 people including Deputy Mayor Cllr Gary James accompanied Wellington Silver Band singing carols on the lawn outside the United Reformed Church in Fore Street, Wellington.

Churches Together in Wellington and District organises the now annual event and the weather was kind last Wednesday evening.

The programme included carols and three seasonal Bible readings, one read by the Deputy Mayor.

Members of the United Reformed Church supplied free refreshments afterwards.

Churches Together officers thank the United Reformed Church for inviting them to use its facilities, Terry Milton for sound and lights, and Wellington Silver Band for helping make the evening a success.
