Children and their families, along with staff at St John’s Primary School in Wellington, have been taking part in a ‘Rainbow Challenge’.

The challenge over the course of seven school days aimed to see how creative the youngsters could be with colour when they got dressed in the morning.

A variety of items were used including tinsel and Christmas baubles, balloons, face paints, pompoms and wigs, plants, fruit and even crisp packets.

Nearly 300 photos were submitted to school, all of which will be used to create a rainbow collage and video which will be shared to all the families of children who attend St John’s.

A spokesperson for the school said: “It was a great way to get everyone involved, and lovely to see the children’s smiley faces in the photos.”
