CUSTOMERS couldn’t wait to try out new Wellington fish and chip shop Golden Kitchen when it opened in High Street last Wednesday lunchtime.

The shop is the latest in manager Edward Sousa’s empire – he already has premises in Bedford and Swindon and is looking at opening another in Bristol.

Edward, 38, originally from Portugal, says he will be working 12-hour days and added: “A lot of people in the town like fish and chips.

“I want to stay here and make customers happy.”

Golden Kitchen is open Monday to Saturday noon to 10pm and on Bank Holidays from 4.30pm to 10pm.
