CHILDREN in the choir at Beech Grove Primary School in Wellington entertained shoppers in the town’s Asda and Co-op (pictured) supermarkets with festive songs.

A spokesperson for the school said: “Townspeople enjoyed hearing them and were extremely generous with donations.”

The choir raised more than £200, most will go to music resources for the school, along with a donation to the Wellington Monument fund.
