Christian Aid Week is just one of many charities affected by the coronavirus pandemic and is having to adapt to new ways of raising money.

Wellington among three fire crews working to free horse trapped in farm slurry pitThe charity dedicates a whole week to fundraising each May and in Wellington this has involved street collections and more recently concerts at St John’s Church which have raised hundreds of pounds. The event this year, from May 16-20, will be very different as no public fundraising events can take place.
Christian Aid is involved in projects helping vulnerable communities in 37 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America and the Caribbean. It is also helping people tackle coronavirus in many of these areas.
