THE 400-year history of St Mary’s Church in Burlescombe is told in a new book published by Burlescombe and Westleigh History Group.

Harry Norton and David Beard have looked into mysteries including why a staircase was built in the tower which did not reach the ground and written about them in The Mysteries of St Mary’s.

Proceeds will benefit the church friends group.
