FRESH produce is set to go on sale at a monthly produce market at Burlescombe & Westleigh Community Hall.
The hall is a registered charity and the market, set to run on the fourth Saturday of the month – with the first event on January 25 – will raise money for it.
Organisers hope to offer a full range of fresh goods such as bread and baked items, vegetables, eggs and butchery, and a few selected craft items. Local producers are now being sought to take a table at cost of £4.
Villagers will be able take along items such as a glut of garden produce, preserves, plants, cakes and pies, which will be sold on their behalf on a community table run by the hall. Goods will need to be taken to the hall between 9am and 9.45am.

A spokesperson for the event said: “We are committed to this being a long-term, regular market and it will be an excellent opportunity for producers to establish a regular local customer base.”
