TWO “warring” councillors who shouted remarks at each other during the August meeting of Wellington Town Council were strongly criticised by the “mother” of the council Gloria Copley.

The two members in her firing line were long serving member Ross Henley (Lib Dem) and recently elected Conservative councillor Marcus Barr who clashed during a stormy debate about the possibility of the town council taking over responsibility from Taunton Deane Borough Council for running the three public toilets in Wellington.

Cllr Copley told the two councillors: “There is no point in councillors slagging each other off across the council table. It does no good to the council at all.”
