PENSIONERS Tony and Brenda Sealy, who live at Little Jurston Farm, Wellington say they are devastated and frightened by plans for a secure mental health facility on the Westpark26 business park, close to their farmhouse.
Brenda, 68 said: "I've lived in this house all my life, and I feel devastated and frightened by this. The site is right outside our back door. I can't rest easy in my bed at night."
Montpelier Estates want to build the facility which would house patients who present a significant danger with a history of offending. Some would be transferred from prison for treatment.
Avon and Somerset Police have raised concerns over security at the proposed facility.
