MORE than £3,000 was raised when Court Fields School in Wellington held a Christmas fair.
The money will go to the school’s charity, the Madagascar Development Fund.
The school has raised more than £20,000 for the charity, which has paid for three water projects and a school which the charity was able to extend earlier this year.
A spokesperson for the school said: “These projects would not have been possible without the time, hard work, compassion and generosity of everyone involved. We can truly be very proud of the difference we have all made to the harsh daily lives of the people in these villages in Madagascar.”
The school would like to thank the stallholders, staff, parents and students who made the event possible. It is hoped the Christmas fair will become an annual event.
