Nynehead Court’s latest open gardens event raised more than £350 for the National Garden Scheme.
About 50 garden enthusiasts visited to see the home’s 13 acres of grounds and were treated to a wonderful spectacle with the trees in full leaf, the herbaceous borders in full flower and the newly-planted bedding plant schemes.
Head gardener Justin Cole gave a tour, and after walking up an appetite visitors enjoyed tea and home-made cake in the Orangery.
Home manager Angela Watkins said: “The NGS Open Gardens events are always well attended, especially at this time of year when everything is in full bloom. We hope that visitors will also attend our garden fete on Saturday, June 29, in aid of Wellington Monument.”
