SANTA swept into Wellington on his sleigh on Saturday evening for the town’s big Christmas Lights Switch-on.

This included music and entertainment provided by Wellington Pantomime Society, the Celebration of Light at the Quaker Meeting House and a double decker play-house for children.
Unlike the switch-on last year, the event attracted a big crowd on a good December night for the weather.
Mayor of Wellington Bob Bowrah switched on the lights with help from two children from Rockwell Green Primary School – head boy James King and head girl Bryony Sellick.
The large Christmas tree in town has again been given by Langford Lakes.
