WELLINGTON, Wiveliscombe, Milverton, Hemyock, and Culmstock - these will be the locations as world-class cyclists compete in the big Tour of Britain event in September.
Wellington's Princess Royal Sports Hall was chosen for the launch of the South West stages on Friday, where it was announced that the Tour, hosted by both Devon and Somerset County Councils, will take place on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 September.
The Mayor of Taunton Deane, Wellington Cllr Bob Bowrah, welcomed the news, adding: "The people of Taunton Deane and Wellington can be truly pleased that the area will be put on the map."
The two stages of what is Britain's premier cycle race will cover around 216 miles (347kms) locally, the Tour of Britain 2010 itself taking place over eight days, from Saturday 11 September to Saturday 18 September.
