TALENTED young dancer Evie Gill from Wellington is all set to take part in a professional production of the comic ballet Coppélia.
The Year 11 Court Fields School, Wellington, student will be one of 80 youngsters performing with the English Youth Ballet at the Princess Theatre in Torquay from April 1-2.
Amy Drew, who is dancing the lead role of Swanhilda, has been coaching the young dancers in rehearsals.
She said: “They are treated like professional dancers – we work them hard but the results are fantastic. They learn what the life of a professional dancer is like. They are living the dream and they just love it.”
