THE Mayor of Wellington’s Civic Service was held at St John’s Church as part of its usual communion service on Sunday.

The Mayor, Cllr Gary James, and Mayoress, Mrs Bee James welcomed guests and civic dignitaries including the Deputy Lieutenant, High Sheriff, the mayors of Taunton Deane, Yeovil and Minehead, and the vice-chairman of Somerset County Council.

The service, led by team rector the Rev Tim Treanor, was themed around the community and roles within it with displays from Wellington One Team featuring around the church and hall.
