They will have to be converted into a five-bedroom home with three bathrooms, gym, cinema, bar, dining room, library, games room and a garage for 12 cars.
The site was bought about five years ago by a couple looking for somewhere to keep their classic car collection. They spent 12 months clearing self-seeded trees, brambles and nettles so they could easily walk round all the buildings. But due to a change of circumstances the couple are now selling the site for ‘in excess of £250,000’.
Joe Kennedy Jnr, elder brother of the future US president JF Kennedy, died when his plane exploded on a secret mission from Dunkeswell in August 1944.
