COURT Fields School Year 9 students showed off their entrepreneurial and business skills in a recent ReDiscover Project Event.
The interactive event, hosted at The Winter Gardens in Weston-Super-Mare, was part of a national initiative by Lloyds Banking Group which promotes digital and tech skills to secondary school pupils.
On the day, students were armed with resources and the support of industry mentors, from the Lloyds Bank group. Students were challenged to create a real-life business that showcased their digital and social media skills, presenting their business to all 140 students who attended the event.
Although not leaving with the top prize, team members from both teams came away with the social media awards for the most likes and shares from a post using the hashtag #rediscoverweston. All students gained valuable experience in the way businesses use existing and new technologies to promote and enhance businesses.
