Hello children! I hope you’re having a good week.

Over the last few weeks I have been building my own model rocket and now it is complete! It is blue and red, has its own windows and little space bears inside.

On Thursday, I played with my rocket all day – it flew all over the house! I have been thinking about space a lot, and mum suggested we watch the film ET – it was about a boy becoming friends with an alien and was great!

On Friday, it was really sunny so we spent most of the day outside. I inflated the paddling pool and played in the water all morning. Mum made delicious fruit smoothies and I felt like I was on holiday!

On Saturday, it was really sunny again so dad and I played badminton in the garden. I really like badminton, but I definitely need more practice – dad is really good and beat me every time! I cooled off in the paddling pool and decided to read my book ‘Gangsta Granny’ in the sun for a while. We had a barbecue for dinner and I helped dad cook the burgers and sausages.

On Sunday, I read my book and relaxed outside for a while. I helped mum with gardening – we are growing tomatoes, strawberries and lettuce, and everything needed watering. I am really enjoying learning about plants with mum, and our home-grown fruit tastes much better than the fruit from the supermarket! That night, we had a yummy roast dinner and I played Fifa with Toby for a while.

On Monday, I did some maths work which was quite hard. We are learning about decimals, fractions and percentages, which can be quite complicated. I had to ask for help from dad sometimes but once I knew how to do it the rest of the questions were easy-peasy! I made lunch for mum and dad – chicken sandwiches and fruit from our garden. I read for a while in the afternoon and played Fifa with Toby.

On Tuesday, mum went to the supermarket in the morning and came back with more seeds and flowers to plant. I helped her in the garden by pushing the wheelbarrow, labelling the rows of seeds and watering the soil – I am really excited to see how everything grows! Mum has been teaching me about plants and flowers – did you know that plants and trees produce oxygen that we need to breathe? I didn’t!

Hope you have a great week.
