THREE candidates will be contesting an election to represent the vacant south ward seat on Wellington Town Council.

They are: Des Pollard of Rockwell Green (Labour); Ben Shepherd of Langford Budville (Conservative); and Marie Troake of Wellington (Liberal Democrat).

The election is set to be held on Thursday, October 26, and follows the resignation of Cllr Charles Biscoe.
