PUPILS from Oake, Nynehead and Bradford Primary School, who won the national Great Bug Hunting competition, learnt fascinating facts about insects in a ‘Bug Day’, which was their prize.

The children also showed no fear as they held beetle larvae and Madagascan hissing cockroaches.
Class teacher Dorothy Hosken said: “The children were spellbound by the chance to observe and handle a range of amazing and exotic creatures.
“Luke was brilliant and the children learned a huge amount – about the animals and also about how to be a scientist. Thank you to Luke and Rebecca for coming to see us.”
