FAMILIES in Wellington enjoyed an Easter Extravaganza at St John’s School during the school holidays last Wednesday.

The children were entertained by the Easter Bunny and enjoyed a traditional Easter egg hunt and free Easter eggs.

A host of free activities was on offer for children and parents to enjoy, as well as complimentary refreshments supplied by the friends from Besom.

Sainsbury’s and Asda supermarkets gave more than 100 Easter Eggs and a host of agencies attended including the Guides, Secret World, Besom, Churches Together, Somerset Skills and Learning, face painters, Wellington “getset” Children’s Centre, Tone Leisure, local police, Taunton Deane Borough Council, The Wellington One Team, local councillors and dignitaries, and Knightstone Housing.

Organisers would also like to thank the volunteers who attended and school head teacher Gareth Jones for allowing the use of the school.
