A SWELTERING hot blue sky day for the Milverton Street Fair with local street bands The Big Noise and Pandango and, of course, the West Somerset Morris Men.
Milverton Music Club aired their stable talents, piano man Jonny Nance played the street and a throng of ukuleles, the Wiveleles, sweltered away amid all the rich food on offer.
Among the highlights that wowed the hundreds who toured the fascinating street stalls was amazing tall Alice, towering on her stilts, chasing her very late little White Rabbit up and down street and hill – quite a feat on those tiny feet!
But stars of the hat competition were the children of Milverton Primary School and their amazing handiwork – everyone a prize – and all thanks to teacher Isabel Calnon.
