IRIS Alderman celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday when she was joined by her children, grandchildren and six great grandchildren and other family members at a party at Bulford Community Centre, Wellington.
Mrs Alderman, who received a telegram from the Queen, was born in Easington Colliery, near Durham in 1916, and came to the South-West, in the 1930s where she met and married her late husband Fred.
