SOME 23 trees, lights and seasonal decorations will fill St Mary’s Church, Hemyock, when a Festival of Trees is held this weekend.

Bell which has seen one hundred years of town crying in WellingtonThe festival, under the guidance of church flower co-ordinator Monica Smith, opens at 10.30am today (Friday) and Saturday and 12.30pm on Sunday. It closes at 6pm on Friday and 5pm over the weekend, and entry is free.
Event organisers the Friends of St Mary’s will serve light lunches in the Church Room on Friday and Saturday between noon-2pm, and refreshments in the church throughout the festival.
A service of Holy Communion will be held on Sunday at 11.15am and the popular Stanchester Choir will give a carol concert at 3pm.
