SPEECHES from two of Shakespeare's plays have earned two Wellington School students plaudits at a prestigious festival.

Isabel Elliott won the Foreman Trophy for First Place in the Mid-Somerset Festival's Solo Shakespeare section playing Lady Ann in Act 1 Scene 2 of Richard III.

And Sophie Bennett received a Commendation and a score of 85% for one of Puck's speeches from Midsummer Night's Dream.
