THE co-owner of Rumwell Farm Shop, on the A38 between Wellington and Taunton, was all set to carry on trading after a fire last Thursday morning.

The shop had been having power cuts throughout the morning and had a back-up generator running at the rear of the building, which caught fire.

Anne Mitchell said: “There were a few flames – there has been no damage to the building, as the generator is outside, and no-one was hurt. We expect to be open again this afternoon.”

Three fire engines were sent to the shop at 11.24am and foam and hosereel jets were used to deal with the flames.
