THREE fire appliances from Wiveliscombe and Wellington responded after an electricity pole was reported to be sparking at West Street, Wiveliscombe, on Sunday morning.

Crews found flames coming from the pole and cordoned off the lane for public safety while waiting for Western Power to arrive.
