TWO Wellington firefighters are going the extra mile for good causes on Saturday with a 10k sponsored Firemen’s Lift.

Lee Owen, 28, and Ben Spalding, 27, will be in full kit carrying an adult-sized 100lb training dummy between the fire stations in Wellington and Taunton. ?

They will be stopping at businesses along the way for a break and pictures. Lee is helping Children’s Hospice South-West and Ben is coining in the cash for The Firefighters Charity.

The pair are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in East Africa in September – the volcano, 19,340 feet above sea level, will take a week to climb.
