Warm summer sunshine brought the crowds out for the biggest and probably busiest eat:Wellington event yet on Saturday.

Visitors had a wonderful array of food and drink to buy and try from fabulous local producers.

Co-organiser Sarah Milner Simonds said: "It is always a real pleasure to be back in Wellington. We attracted a great range of local food and drink producers and so many people.

"It was great hearing from visitors how they had invited friends and family to join them for the weekend, and how they loved having a festival on their doorstep.

"We want to be a good neighbour and we extend our thanks to those who are alongside the festival for their warm welcome and encouragement."

Co-organiser Bev Milner Simonds added: "Saturday was a great event and it was wonderful to hear from locals that this was the busiest they had seen the town in a very long time.

"The feedback from local businesses was that they saw lots of new customers and we hope they become new regulars.

"This time last year we held our first event post lockdown in Portishead.

"It has been a turbulent year but Saturday saw happy visitors, happy councillors, happy producers - and very happy organisers.

"Thank you Wellington and see you next year."
